Betr Remedies Exclusively Launches in Walmart

The full line of OTC products from Betr Remedies has rolled out to 2,000 Walmart stores across the U.S., marking the first time the socially conscious medicine brand co-founded by Ellen Pompeo is available on store shelves.Betr Remedies first launched on walmart.com back in November 2021 with a dedicated brand showcase. This month’s in-store rollout marks the first time the digital-native brand is available on store shelves.Manufactured in the U.S., Betr Remedies curated, “easy-to-shop” product line so far comprises about 15 SKUs across pain, allergy, digestive health, and cold and flu categories, as well as supplements supporting immunity and hydration. Each product contains the exact same FDA-authorized ingredients as leading brands, according to a news release from Betr, but with cause element.Betr Remedies exists with the mission to make medication more accessible, sustainable, and ethical across the U.S. through its “buy-one, give-one” cause program managed through Sirum, a national nonprofit that enables healthcare organizations to donate unused medications through select charitable pharmacies in underserved communities across the country."Jen Hoffman, Livio Bisterzo and I co-founded Betr Remedies on the idea that quality healthcare is a right all people deserve access to," Ellen Pompeo, who is best-known for playing Dr. Meredith Grey in ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, said in the release. Our scale, combined with Betr Remedies brand purpose, will help make a positive impact."Walmart is no stranger to forming exclusive partnerships with emerging, DTC and/or celebrity-backed brands, such as Profusion Cosmetics, which released a collection based on Paramount Pictures’ "Mean Girls" film exclusively at Walmart over summer. The mass merchant more recently became the exclusive retailer for several DTC cosmetics brands with huge social media followings.
